James "Jim" A. Henderson

February 26, 1960 – July 21, 2017

Avid skier, backpacker, fly fisherman, tennis player and music enthusiast Jim Henderson passed away in July 2017 at the age of 57 after his fight with younger-onset (also known as early-onset) Alzheimer's disease.

A visionary and entrepreneur, Jim founded three companies that revolutionized the lighting design world — SF12V, 2000 Degrees and Shine Labs. Jim was a devoted family man to children Tierney, Whit and Veronica, and to Mindy, his wife of 27 years.

Mindy, who was Jim's caregiver, spoke about her husband's experience with Alzheimer's at the 2014 Part the Cloud Gala.
